Ranitidine Dosing

Ranitidine dosing for the treatment of GERD, pathological hypersecretory conditions, and ulcers usually involves a dose of 150 mg twice a day. The suggested ranitidine dosage for treating erosive esophagitis is 150 mg four times daily. Ranitidine dosing for children and infants is based on the child's weight.

Ranitidine Dosage: An Overview

The dose of ranitidine hydrochloride (Zantac®) that your healthcare provider recommends will vary depending on a number of factors, including:

  • Your age
  • The medical condition for which you are being treated
  • Other medical conditions you may have
  • Other medications you may be taking.

As is always the case, do not adjust your dose unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.
