Pancreatise

Were you looking for information about Pancreatitis? Pancreatise is a common misspelling of pancreatitis.

Approximately 50,000 to 80,000 Americans each year will be affected by pancreatitis, an inflammation of the pancreas. This inflammation occurs when certain enzymes that are secreted by the pancreas become active too early and start digesting the pancreas itself. As a result, the condition can cause symptoms such as pain in the upper abdomen (stomach), fever, and vomiting. Depending on the type of pancreatitis and the symptoms, treatment options may include medications, surgery, and lifestyle changes.
