Side Effects of Ondansetron Oral Soluble Film

Although most people do not experience problems while using ondansetron oral soluble film, side effects can still occur. Common ones include headaches, fatigue, and constipation. In most cases, side effects are minor and easily treated. However, contact your healthcare provider immediately if you develop serious problems while using the drug, such as difficulty breathing, an unexplained rash, or an irregular heart rhythm.

As with any medicine, ondansetron oral soluble film (Zuplenz™) can cause side effects. However, not everyone who uses the medication will have problems. Most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider.

Ondansetron Oral Soluble Film Side Effects to Report

Some side effects of this drug should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These potential reactions include but are not limited to:
 
  • An irregular heart rhythm (arrhythmia)
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, such as:
     
    • An unexplained rash
    • Hives
    • Itching
    • Wheezing or other difficulty breathing
    • Swelling of the mouth, lips, or throat.
