What Does NuLYTELY Taste Like?

NuLYTELY® (polyethylene glycol electrolyte solution) is a laxative prescribed to empty the bowels before a colonoscopy procedure. It comes in the form of a powder that is dissolved in lukewarm water before using. Normally, eight ounces of the mixed solution are consumed every 10 minutes until four liters are consumed or bowel movements are watery and clear (which usually requires at least three liters). But what does NuLYTELY taste like?

After mixing the solution, NuLYTELY tastes like mineral water. However, there are flavoring packets available that you can mix into the solution. These packets are available in the following flavors:

  • Cherry
  • Lemon-lime
  • Orange
  • Pineapple.

Only one flavor packet should be used. Also, NuLYTELY will taste better if chilled. However, chilled NuLYTELY is not recommended for infants.
