MoviPrep Colonoscopy Prep
It is necessary for the bowels to be completely empty before the colonoscopy so that your healthcare provider can look for causes of unexplained changes in bowel habits. Any stool inside the colon may hide important findings. Therefore, if you have an upcoming colonoscopy, your healthcare provider may prescribe a laxative such as MoviPrep® (polyethylene glycol electrolyte solution) to prepare the bowel. MoviPrep works by drawing water into the colon, which softens the stool and causes watery bowel movements.
