Side Effects of Lubiprostone
Common side effects of lubiprostone include nausea, diarrhea, and headaches. Although most people have no problems with the drug, it can cause serious side effects that require prompt medical attention. Make sure to notify your healthcare provider right away if you develop severe or persistent diarrhea or any signs of an allergic reaction. In most cases, however, lubiprostone side effects are easy to treat.

If side effects of lubiprostone do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider.
