Halflyte

Were you looking for information about HalfLytely and Bisacodyl? Halflyte is a common misspelling of HalfLytely.

Before you have a colonoscopy, your healthcare provider may prescribe HalfLytely® and Bisacodyl (polyethylene glycol electrolyte solution and bisacodyl). This laxative helps empty the bowels so that a healthcare provider can clearly see any potential problems within the colon. It works by drawing water into the colon, which softens the stool and causes frequent, watery bowel movements.

Each HalfLytely and Bisacodyl kit comes with one bisacodyl tablet and a jug of HalfLytely powder (to be dissolved in water before use). Because this product is not suitable for everyone, make sure your healthcare provider knows if you have any problems with your kidneys or heart before using this laxative.

(Click HalfLytely and Bisacodyl for more information about how this laxative works, as well as details on what your healthcare provider needs to know before you use this product. You can also click any of the links in the box to the right for specific information.)
