Major complications include but are not limited to:

· Inflammation of the pancreas, also called pancreatitis

· Serious infection of the bile duct or other areas

· Allergic reaction to medication or dye

· Perforation or a tear in the esophagus, stomach, or small intestine

· Bleeding

· Heart or lung problems possibly including:

· Pneumonia, irregular heart rhythms, lung or heart failure

· Loss of life

· Other rare or improbable events.
