Who Should Not Take Dyrenium?

You should not take Dyrenium if you:
 
  • Are allergic to Dyrenium, triamterene, hydrochlorothiazide, or any inactive component used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of inactive ingredients.
     
  • Have severe kidney disease or liver disease.
     
  • Have high potassium levels (hyperkalemia).
     
  • Are not producing any urine (anuria).
