Diverticulite

Were you looking for information about Diverticulitis? Diverticulite is a common misspelling of diverticulitis.

Diverticulitis is a type of condition in which abnormal pouches (diverticula) that form in the colon become inflamed. Although the specific cause of this condition is unknown at this time, most healthcare providers believe it is linked to a low-fiber diet. Many healthcare providers also believe that the infection may begin when stool or bacteria are caught in the diverticula. An attack of diverticulitis can develop suddenly and without warning.
