Alosetron Drug Information

Available by prescription only, alosetron hydrochloride (Lotronex®) is a medication used to treat symptoms of diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) in women. It comes as a tablet that is taken once or twice a day. Some people who take this medicine will develop side effects, such as nausea, constipation, and abdominal (stomach) pain.
