Colonospy

Were you looking for information about
Colonoscopy? Colonospy is a common misspelling of colonoscopy.

A healthcare provider may perform a colonoscopy to help check for early signs of colon or rectal cancer, and also to determine the cause of unexplained bowel changes. This medical procedure involves inserting a long, flexible camera (a colonoscope) through the rectum and into the colon. This scope allows the healthcare provider to view any abnormal growths, bleeding, ulcers, or inflamed tissue.

(Click Colonoscopy for more information about how this procedure is performed, as well as potential complications that may occur. You can also click any of the links in the box to the right for specific information.)
