Colonoscopy? Colonoscopie is a common misspelling of colonoscopy.
A healthcare provider may recommend a colonoscopy to check for early signs of colon or rectal cancer. During this medical procedure, a long, flexible camera is inserted into the rectum and is passed through the entire large intestine, from the lowest part (the rectum) all the way up through the colon to the lower end of the small intestine. A colonoscopy can also help determine the cause of unexplained bowel changes.
