Cirosis

Were you looking for information about Cirrhosis? Cirosis is a common misspelling of cirrhosis.

Cirrhosis is a condition where large areas of the liver become very badly scarred. The condition can occur as the result of many long-term liver diseases, such as different types of hepatitis or medical conditions people are born with. However, cirrhosis can also be caused by things like infections, drug and/or alcohol abuse, or a blocked bile duct.

The treatment for cirrhosis depends on the cause of the condition and the other problems a person is experiencing. In all cases, regardless of the cause, following a healthy diet and avoiding alcohol are essential because the body needs all the nutrients it can get, and alcohol will only lead to more liver damage.

(Click Cirrhosis for a more in-depth look at this condition and its symptoms, including information on what can happen if liver failure occurs.)
