Cirhosis

Were you looking for information about Cirrhosis? Cirhosis is a common misspelling of cirrhosis.

Cirrhosis is a condition in which large areas of scar tissue develop within the liver. This can be the result of long-term liver diseases, such as different types of hepatitis, or medical conditions people are born with.

However, cirrhosis can also be caused by things like infections, drug and alcohol abuse, or a blocked bile duct. How the disease is treated depends on the cause and whether other problems or conditions are also present. Common options include lifestyle changes and medications; a liver transplant is recommended in severe cases.
