Generic Bumex

Generic Bumex tablets are available in three different strengths: 0.5 mg, 1 mg, and 2 mg. There is also an injectable version of the drug, but it is only available for use in hospitals. Some of the manufacturers of generic Bumex include Ivax Pharmaceuticals, Eon Labs, and Mylan Pharmaceuticals. As with the brand-name version, the generic version is used to treat fluid retention.

 

Generic Bumex: An Overview

Bumex® (bumetanide) is a prescription medication that has been licensed to treat water retention (also known as edema). It is part of a group of medications known as loop diuretics.
 
Bumex was first manufactured by Hoffmann-La Roche. However, the patent has since expired, and generic Bumex is now available.
 

Strengths of Generic Bumex

Generic Bumex tablets are available in the following strengths:
 
  • Bumetanide 0.5 mg tablets
  • Bumetanide 1 mg tablets
  • Bumetanide 2 mg tablets.
     
Injectable generic Bumex is also available for use in hospitals.
