Balsalazide (Cont.)

What If I Take an Overdose of Balsalazide?

People who take too much balsalazide may have overdose symptoms that could include:
 
  • Tinnitus (ringing in the ears)
  • Vertigo (a spinning sensation)
  • Confusion
  • Drowsiness
  • Sweating
  • Hyperventilation
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea.
     
If you happen to overdose on balsalazide, immediate seek medical attention.

How Should Balsalazide Be Stored?

Balsalazide should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. The capsules should be stored in an airtight container.
 
Keep balsalazide and all other medications out of the reach of children.
 

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose of Balsalazide?

If you do not take your balsalazide as scheduled, take your missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.
 

Strengths of Balsalazide

Balsalazide capsules are available in one strength -- balsalazide 750 mg capsules.
